Hi, I'm Amy
I’m a Registered Counselling Therapist (RCT-C) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) specializing in trauma and grief therapies. My approach combines evidence-based techniques with intuitive practices, blending traditional modalities (humanistic and psychodynamic) with innovative methods (nature-informed, internal family systems, and plant-assisted therapies). My goal is to support your path to reconnection—to your mind, body, soul, and spirit.
How I Approach This Work
Everyone is so different, and I work according to each of client's unique needs. However, there are three basic arenas that I focus on, they are below.
Breathe: Begin the Process of Slowing Down
We always begin with the sometimes challenging process of slowing down. We can use this innate repair system to reconnect with our body’s wisdom as we learn how our nervous systems work. In this stage, we can reconnect to the messages and insights our bodies are trying to communicate with us.
Explore: Journey into Your Inner World
We live by the narratives we tell ourselves. What we believe is what we usually become. Building relationships with the part of yourselves that has been ignored and forgotten is the next step to honouring all the trauma and grief that lives inside of you.
Love: Develop a Self Compassion Practice
By cultivating kindness toward yourself, you create space for deeper connections with others, your community, and the natural world. Self-compassion humanizes us and reminds us of what is possible.
